The Mom behind the Mission

Hello everyone! I'm Smart Charlie's Mom, and I am SO grateful you're here with us today. We’re excited to be on this journey with you!

It all began about nine months ago when I fell deep into the fluoride rabbit hole—dark, disturbing, and eye-opening. As a lifelong learner, naturally inquisitive yet skeptical, I tend to research topics where I sense bias. Fluoride was one of those topics. After my deep dive, I knew that traditional toothpaste was no longer an option for me or my family. Too often, we unknowingly expose ourselves to things that aren’t good for us, and fluoride, despite its effectiveness in small doses, was one of those concerns. For me, the cons outweighed the pros.

That’s when I discovered hydroxyapatite, a lesser-known yet natural alternative with benefits similar to fluoride. It not only strengthens and whitens teeth naturally but also comes without harmful effects. It is unfortunate that alternatives such as this, simply don't get the recognition they deserve; often overlooked or harder to access.

As I continued researching hydroxyapatite and its nano counterpart, I was excited to find a proactive approach to oral health. However, I quickly became overwhelmed by the varying options on the market. I had no confidence in what I was buying—where it was sourced, its shape and size, or the concentration of nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HAP) it contained. This uncertainty was frustrating, and at that moment, I made a commitment: I was going to figure this out and make my own.

With 25 years of experience in both food and industrial manufacturing, I approached this challenge with a unique perspective. As a former SQF Practitioner, I have a deep understanding of the critical factors that influence product safety, quality, and integrity. My expertise in maintaining strict tolerances and precise product specifications has been instrumental in ensuring high standards. By combining this background with extensive research, I was able to meticulously source top-quality ingredients and reliable suppliers.

I am incredibly proud of the toothpaste we’ve created, yet I continue to expand my knowledge daily to refine and improve it.

Beyond toothpaste, I’m a home educator, a Certified Personal Trainer, and a Nutrition Specialist. Health and wellness are my greatest passions—living a fulfilling life through the foods we eat and self-care, and sharing that love with my family. This passion drives my commitment to providing safer, more natural alternatives to the commercial products we see on store shelves today.
